What we collect

A production Yourket account should collect only what is needed to operate the marketplace: account details, seller verification data, listing content, orders, payments, support records, and security events. Marketing and analytics should remain optional.

• Keep payment credentials with a compliant payment processor.
• Separate public seller information from private identity and payout records.
• Never use demo credentials or client-side role selection as real authentication.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, object to, or delete personal data. Requests must be identity-verified and tracked to completion.

• Provide a machine-readable export of account data.
• Offer account deletion with clear exceptions for tax, fraud, and legal records.
• Make optional consent as easy to withdraw as it was to give.

Retention and deletion

Production data needs explicit retention schedules. Draft listings, abandoned signups, messages, moderation evidence, and security logs should not live forever by default. Legal and financial records may require longer retention or anonymization.

• Document each data category, purpose, owner, and retention period.
• Use deletion jobs and audit records rather than ad-hoc manual cleanup.
• Keep backups and subprocessors inside the same deletion and incident-response plan.

Processors and security

Hosting, storage, authentication, analytics, moderation, email, and payments may process data on Yourket's behalf. Each provider needs a reviewed contract, least-privilege access, encryption, breach process, and a documented subprocessor list.

• Use server-side authorization for every private record.
• Encrypt secrets and never expose service-role credentials to the browser.
• Log sensitive admin actions without logging passwords or payment data.

Members can start privacy requests from the privacy center, verify identity, see status, and receive the result.
